Essent® Corporation made contributions to two promotional products non-profit organizations at the 2016 PPAI Expo.

The technology solutions provider donated $1,500 to education and mentorship organization PromoKitchen. Essent also provided $1,000 to the Promotional Products Education Foundation (PPEF) college scholarship organization as a sponsor of the PPEF Glen Holt Scholarship Invitational held during the 2016 PPAI Expo.

"Essent believes in the power of knowledge and industry education. PPEF and PromoKitchen are dedicated to these ideals and Essent is proud to help both organizations continue their missions of bettering the industry and industry families through knowledge,” Essent President & CEO Eric Alessi said.

In addition to the donation to PromoKitchen, Essent served as lead sponsor for PromoKitchen’s annual Mixer. The No Excuses World Tour Mixer held at House of Blues at Mandalay Bay during the 2016 PPAI Expo drew several hundred guests. The festivities started with the Essent VIP Pre-Party, which drew the principals of some of the largest and most influential companies in the industry.

PromoKitchen, an all-volunteer organization founded in 2011, pairs industry veterans with industry newcomers through a mentorship program and additionally generates discussion on best practices through its various online platforms.

The PPEF provides college scholarships to promotional products industry employees and their children. Since its inception in 1989, PPEF has awarded $1,417,000 in college scholarships to 850 students.
