PPAI Product Safety Summit Built Momentum for Product Safety Management

The PPAI Product Safety Summit at the North American Leadership Conference in Boston built momentum in the Product Safety Awareness Program early-adopter campaign.

It also built momentum for Product Safety Information Management at Essent. Essent, a Platinum Sponsor for the leadership conference, is demonstrating how its business management software assists in managing product safety.

The fourth annual PPAI Product Safety Summit drew record attendance with more than 190 promotional products industry professionals on hand, according to PPAI. Attendees heard from industry leaders, product safety labs, legal experts and government regulators.

"Anyone lucky enough to attend this conference really had the opportunity to learn from the best of the best. I was so impressed at how engaged our attendees were,” Gene Geiger, the president of promotional products distributor Geiger, told PPAI Publications. Gene Geiger co-chaired the Product Safety Summit with Rick Brenner, the CEO of promotional products supplier Prime Resources Corp.

The Product Safety Summit, held over a day and a half, immediately generated even more discussion. The list of PPAI Product Safety Awareness Program Early Adopters, meanwhile, has grown into the hundreds. That includes Essent President and CEO Eric Alessi, who personally trained to become a PPAI Product Safety Ambassador.

The product safety momentum didn’t end with the Essent-sponsored Thompson Island Clam Bake that closed the North American Leadership Conference. Essent is holding a webinar to show how its business management software assists in product safety information management. Essent Compass users can register for the webinar at GoTo Webinar.
