Actions to Take

Bring this Support Notice to the attention of your Accounting department or person responsible for processing credit cards through the USAePay gateway.

Issue

USAePay, a payment gateway used for payment processing in Essent® products, has been acquired by the payment solutions provider, NMI. Essent is notifying USAePay subscribers of the acquisition and branding change.

Essent Service Impact Analysis

USAePay is integrated into Essent products, including the Compass business management system, EssentOne™ ERP system, and SiteBuilder Web CMS Ecommerce platform. In some cases Essent customers interface directly with the USAePay virtual terminal and payment portal.

NMI has made some branding changes that may have been noticed by USAePay users. However, there are no functional changes to Essent USAePay integration resulting from the acquisition.

Essent review has not revealed any functional changes for USAePay payment processing and NMI has not informed Essent of functional changes, past or forthcoming. An NMI announcement about the acquisition also did not indicate that NMO plans functional changes to USAePay. Essent customers who use USAePay also have not reported experiencing functional changes.
