SQL Server 2012 Support Ends July 11, 2017

Attention Essent Software Product Customers – Mainstream support for all editions of Microsoft SQL Server 2012 releases ends July 11, 2017.

What does this mean to you?

Microsoft has announced that mainstream support of SQL Server 2012 for all Service Packs and Releases ends July 11, 2017. This means Microsoft will no longer hotfix bugs, even critical bugs that impact your business. If you still use SQL Server 2012 for an Essent software product, you may not be able to adequately resolve any support or compatibility issues that may arise because you are using outdated database management software. It is our policy to enhance our software, add-on products, and technical support services for the latest releases so we can provide the best possible service.

If you have a current Support Plan with Essent it will continue to be honored, but Essent may not be able to adequately resolve any support or compatibility issues that may arise.

Should you need assistance, support will be based on a pay-per-call basis charged at our current hourly rate for technical support.

What you can do about it?

Do not continue to rely on unsupported versions. Upgrading now will give you continued access to support, product updates, and valuable add-on products and services which may be important to your business. It will also bring you new enhancements and features that have been added since your version was released. Customers are encouraged to upgrade to SQL Server 2016. Server 2016 is certified for Essent software products and is recommended. If you use Replication Servers, you must upgrade to SQL Server 2016 Standard Edition or higher.

To Get Started: Contact your Essent representative today by calling 800-559-9959 or by email to schedule for the upgrade.
