BETHLEHEM, PA | August 2017 | Helm® is embarking on a company-wide supply chain initiative to integrate with its suppliers via the Essent® OrderTrax® Network and has selected Essent to work on Helm’s behalf to implement the integration.

The Helm Supplier Integration Initiative directs Helm’s suppliers to integrate with Helm via OrderTrax, the promotional products industry-standard Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). OrderTrax allows companies to integrate on standards of their choosing including mature, established standards such as ePSA and ANSI and emerging standards like PromoStandards™.

Essent, the promotional products industry’s leading and most experienced integration services provider, will work with Helm suppliers toward implementing the integration.

"Helm is excited about the capabilities and transparency into the Supply Chain that OrderTrax provides. These allow us to not only serve our clients and customers more efficiently, but our suppliers as well by streamlining communication and follow up processes,” says Michelle Schwab, Manager over Planning and Purchasing as well as Supplier Relations at Helm.

Essent Business Development Manager Marco Peña is leading the initiative and will work with Helm suppliers to move the integration project forward.

"On a day-to-day basis, suppliers are inundated with inquiries about pricing, inventory, catalogs, configurations, orders, order status, shipping status, and invoices. The traditional ways of answering those inquiries – manually by phone and email – is time-intensive, error-prone, inefficient, and it ultimately costs suppliers time and money. Communicating this information automatically via the Essent OrderTrax Network reduces labor, eliminates errors, increases efficiencies and ultimately increases profitability for Helm and its suppliers,” Mr. Peña said.

"We feel utilizing the OrderTrax technology gives us and our supplier community a great platform to standardize business processes. Transparency and lower transaction costs will be a big win for Helm and our suppliers”, says Ryan Gusick, Vice President of Supply Chain at Helm.

Documents and information that can be integrated via the OrderTrax Network include Inventory Availability, Customer Price List, Order Status, Advance Ship Notice, Media, Product Data, Purchase Orders, Product Configuration, Invoices, and more.
