PPAI Technology Summit ‘Gaining Real Steam’ in its 2nd Year

PPAI Technology Committee Chairman Jon Norris said at least 45 people registered for the Technology Summit before March. That’s almost the number that attended the inaugural PPAI Technology Summit in 2014.

Asked which PPAI Technology Committee initiative would create the most buzz in 2015, Mr. Norris said, "The technology summit is gaining real steam in the industry. … The agenda is going to be excellent.”

The Summit is August 11 and 12 in Nashville, Tennessee, immediately following the PPAI North American Leadership conference. Technology solutions provider Essent is the lead sponsor for both events.

Essent President & CEO Eric Alessi, a member of the PPAI Technology Committee, was pleased to see the bump in registrations. He said he expects the Summit to continue to grow as he serves his three-year term on the board.

"My hope is the Technology Summit continues to grow because there is such a need for the technology leaders in the industry to have a forum to discuss industry technology issues," Mr. Alessi said. "My expectation is that we will work to define strong agendas that solve substantive industry problems, resulting in successful solutions. As a natural consequence I expect the event to grow and evolve in the coming years."

The Summit aims to make the promotional products industry more efficient through collaborating on technology solutions. "The summit will showcase technology initiatives that are currently happening in the industry amongst suppliers, distributors and service providers,” Mr. Norris said.
